Junior Kids Acting
ABOUT THE CLASS
Welcome to Junior Kids Acting at Acting Performance Studio—an engaging experience designed for 4-8 year olds with a passion for storytelling and screen acting. Unleash your child's potential, build their confidence, and watch them flourish in a supportive, fun-filled environment.
Crafting Confident Performers:
Whether your child is shy or enthusiastic about costumes and movies, our unique class encourages them to step out of their comfort zones. Through storytelling, fun activities, and building friendships, children not only learn acting skills but also gain confidence.
Exploring Screen Acting Techniques:
Under our guidance, your child will learn how to act independently and within a group, using imagination and personal experiences to tell captivating stories. Junior Kids Acting introduces a variety of skills and techniques, from improvisation exercises, scene work and TV commercial creation.
Green Screen Fun:
Embark on an exhilarating journey throughout the terms, exploring the enchanting world of Green Screen. Watch as your child's creativity comes to life in fantastical locations, adding an exciting dimension to their acting experience.
Creative Outcomes:
- Short Film Stories: In Term 3, students will create and film short stories, presented at the APS Cinema Showcase in December. Each story is limited to a maximum of 2 minutes.
- End of Term 2 Stage Performance: Students will perform ‘Scenes on Stage’ to a live audience. The performance dates will be confirmed during the year as one of the following: 25th, 26th, 27th, 29th, or 30th June. The venue for the performance will be Moorabbin Town Hall.
- Parent/Guardian Showcase: The last 30 minutes of the last class of each term will be dedicated to showcasing the students' progress for parents/guardians. Please note that this showcasing won't take place if there is a stage or cinema showcase scheduled for that term.
Note:
The number of Short Film Stories produced per class by APS is largely influenced by the time-consuming and meticulous editing process. It's important to emphasise that APS holds the final say in determining the quantity of films produced per class, guaranteeing a meticulous and personalised approach to the creative process.
